A couple of fundraisers are scheduled in December for 20-year-old Hunter Hall, who was diagnosed with B cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in late October.

According to a family friend, Hunter had been dealing with back pain for several months, which had been misdiagnosed until an MRI revealed abnormal bone marrow. He's been under treatment at University Health since October 27, and will be in the hospital for four weeks for an aggressive chemotherapy regime, before starting outpatient treatment.

He has already had several procedures, including spinal taps, bone marrow biopsies, placement of a port in his heat to receive chemo in his spinal fluid, and blood transfusions. He'll have to continue chemo for two years.

Hunter will be unable to work for at least six months, possibly longer. He worked at Red River Chevrolet up until he was hospitalized.

There's a fundraiser for Hunter set for December 10 at all Rotolo's Pizzeria locations. All that day, 10% of sales will be donated to Hunter's family. Another event is scheduled for December 15 at Boneheads on Youree Drive from 4 p.m. until closing. A percentage of sales will be donated that day.
