LSU To Receive $40 Million Donation, Largest Donation In University’s History

An LSU graduate has pledged an anonymous donation of $40 million, which is said to be the largest donation in the University's history.

Upon the death of the anonymous donor, the University will split the donation among two departments - LSU athletics and LSU engineering.

Half of the funds will go to the LSU Foundation and support academic scholarships for students in the College of Engineering’s Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. The other $20 million will aid athletic scholarships and facilities and will be funded through Tiger Athletic Foundation.
