Mudbug Madness Kicks Off on Thursday in Shreveport

It's almost time for Mudbug Madness for this year. The festival opens on Thursday at noon in downtown Shreveport.We all love our boiled crawfish around here and that will be the biggest seller at the festival. You'll find them traditional, unlike the weird things we put in the crawfish pot. We love the music and the arts, but this is a festival about great food! Here are some of the crawfish specialties you'll find at Mudbug this year:

fried fish over jambalaya w/crawfish, fried crawfish tail po-boy, crawfish A-too-Fay, crawfish meat pies, a crawfish stuffed burger and so much more.

If you are not into crawfish, you can find a Philly cheese steak, fried green tomatoes; fried pickles, fried Twinkies, fried sausage on a stick, southern fried chicken tenders, cheeseburgers and all kinds of other choices.
