Operation Santa Claus has helped underprivileged children right here in the Shreveport/Bossier City area for decades! OSC is a joint effort between Townsquare Media. the Bossier Sheriff's Office, the Shreveport Police Department and the Shreveport Fire Department. Each year, these groups make sure over 1,000 kids right here have something underneath their tree Christmas morning. But doing that take lots of help and money! Hence, the new Operation Santa Claus 5K!

What:  First ever Operation Santa Claus 5K Run

When: Sunday, October 5th at 2pm

Where:  LSUS campus on the E Kings Hwy side.

Details:  Kid’s ½ mile start time 2pm and 5K 2:15pm

After the races there will be an awards ceremony followed by music, jumpies, face painting, Elsa from Frozen and Captain America (courtesy of Shreveport Princess Parties) will be on hand for the kids.  There will also be food vendors, and more for your enjoyment.

This is a family event so bring the whole family and dress up as an elf, Santa, Mrs Claus or just come in your favorite, funniest Christmas outfit.  Let’s see who will have the best costume, have a great time and support OSC’s endeavor to put a smile on the faces of hundreds of local kids.

Registration:  Early Registration is $20 through 7 am October 2nd. Registration is

$25 after early registration through race day.  Kid’s (12 and under)
