Deputies, police officers and firefighters made a stop at Shriners Hospital this morning as part of the Operation Santa Claus "Barney Cannon Smile Run."

The group brought Christmas gifts to two dozen children at the children's hospital in Shreveport this morning. Children were able to visit with Santa Claus and enjoy playing outside in the foam "snow" made by firefighters. Olaf from the movie "Frozen" and an LSU Tiger also livened up the festivities.

OSC began in 1984 and is an effort involving the Bossier Sheriff's Office, Shreveport Police and Fire Departments, and our staff here at Townsquare Media. Through your donations, we'll be able to help about 1,000 less-fortunate children have a much brighter Christmas this year.

If you're unfamiliar with the name Barney Cannon, he was a long-time KWKH radio personality and program director who was known for making everyone he came in contact with smile. We miss him dearly, but are proud to lend his namesake to this special event.

The hallways here at TSM are overflowing with gifts, and those will be delivered Dec. 22 and 23. We thank everyone who has made a donation this holiday season! Take a look at some of the photos from this morning's visit:
