Red River Cleanup This Weekend

Walking along the river front in downtown Shreveport, it's easy to spot all kinds of trash and debris floating near the shore.

Well, several groups have come together again this year, and hope to cleanup the Red River.

The Bayou Chapter of the Ozark Society, the Ark-La-Tex Chapter of the Arkansas Canoe Club, and Shreveport Green are sponsoring their 2nd Annual Red River Cleanup... This Saturday, October 15th.

The event will take place from 8am until noon.

And they've gotten food... And prizes!
