The Caddo Parish Bond election is coming up on May 2, but the push is on now to get voters to the polls. There has been a bit of a skirmish this week about how the proposition is being promoted.

KEEL News has obtained emails sent by staffers from the Caddo Parish School Board central office requesting scanned signatures of CPSB school principals. Their signatures were apparently to be used to go out with letters to parents regarding the bond election. Some principals balked at this idea and wanted to see the letter before it went out to parents.

Jackie Lansdale with the Red River United Teachers Union tells KEEL News this request for a "blank signature" goes too far and she understands that the school district has since backed off of this request.
