We spend about a third of our lives sleeping, so not being good at it is a drag. And according to a new survey from the Better Sleep Council, the best way to get a good night sleep may be to ditch the person you are sleeping next to.

Their poll of 500 adults in committed relationships found that 85 percent have sleep problems and that a partner's snores and night movements were a big contributor to this insomnia. Women were slightly more likely than men to answer that they had trouble sleeping with a partner.

The Sleep Council recommends couples with snoring problems refrain from alcohol and try to sleep on their sides. For troubles with temperature or nighttime movements they suggest separate blankets. And, if all else fails, there is always separate beds or bedrooms.
