Stage Center To Hold Auditions For ‘Into The Woods Jr.’

In conjunction with their June production of Stephen Sondheim's "Into The Woods," Stage Center will feature their Teen Acting Intensive in two performances of "Into The Woods Jr."

Auditions for the production will be held March 5, 2016 by appointment only for kids 10+, and money spent for tuition will go toward performing arts lessons for your child to include acting, singing, and dancing.

Stage Center's press release states:

Who: Students, ages 10 and up BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. In addition to students who love musical theater, we also would like to encourage students with backgrounds in choir to attend.

What: Prepare 16-32 bars (roughly 45 seconds) of a contemporary musical theater song to sing a capella. Some may be asked to attend a callback for specific roles. All roles are available.

When: Saturday, March 5 by appointment only, beginning at 11AM. Callbacks will take place on Sunday, August 16, beginning at 3PM.

Where: Stage Center Studios at the Highland Center, 520 Olive Street, STE A-01

Rehearsals: Into the Woods Jr. is the performance component of our new Teen Summer Acting Intensive which will take place June 6 – 17, Monday-Saturday, from 10:00am-2:30pm, with two performances on June 18 and 19. There is a parent meeting/orientation at 3:00PM on Sunday, June 5.

Performances: June 18 at 10:00am and June 19 at 2:00PM at Marjorie Lyons Playhouse

Cost: $200.00 Tuition (plus $150.00 supplemental program ad sales.)
