February 12, 2013 As 96.5 KVKI's Flashback Party rapidly approaches (March 1st at Diamond Jack's), Erin and I thought we'd have a flashback of our own by revisiting the decade of the 80s with some of our favorite music videos.
When one thinks of ‘Say Anything...,’ John Cusak, holding a boom box above his head and serenading Ione Skye with the Peter Gabriel song ’In Your Eyes' likely comes to mind.
But beyond that iconic scene, Cameron Crowe’s directorial debut is perhaps one of the most well-crafted and nuanced teen romantic comedies of all time.
Here's something for all you painfully nostalgic types out there. It's video footage of John Cusack awkwardly shuffling onstage with a boombox and handing it to Peter Gabriel before he performed "In Your Eyes" in concert over the weekend.
Tickets are now on sale for what promises to be an epic tour is summer: Journey, Pat Benatar, and Loverboy! The tour kicks off in San Bernadino California on July 21st, but there will be two stops pretty close to home come August.

There are no words... lol Happy Saturday Night 80's Night!
Haven’t you ever wondered what happened to that little kid from the classic ‘Hook’ movie or the jock from ’10 Things I Hate About You?’ (No, we’re not talking about the ABC Family series.) These stars from the ’80s and ’90s have all but faded from the spotlight since abominations like ‘Two Broke Girls’ and ‘I Hate My Teenage Daughter’ have graced the screens… until now.

Debbie Gibson knows a little about being a teenage star. She, along with Tiffany, reigned during the late 1980's.
And, by 1987, she was pronounced the youngest artist to write, produce, and sing a number one song.
So Gibson is now giving some advise out to today's young stars.
