It was a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment during the 2012 CMT Music Awards on Wednesday (June 6). Who was the Marine seated next to Kellie Pickler? He certainly isn’t her husband Kyle — did she bring someone back from her recent USO trip?

The 2012 CMT Music Awards began with a batch of country and pop collaborations before settling into a Nashville-based broadcast, featuring Music City’s best. Rascal Flatts closed the show with one of the all-time greatest mainstream rock bands however, inviting Journey on stage to sing ‘Don’t Stop Believin’.’

The Golden Globe nominations have been revealed and some of our favorite pop stars have received nods.

Taylor Swift won her 10th American Music Award in the form of the 2011 AMA for Artist of the Year, beating out some stiff competition from the likes of Adele, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne and Katy Perry. Weezy was surrounded by a lot of beautiful and talented women in this category, wasn’t he? Nevertheless, Swift expressed a mixture of shock, awe and joy when her name was announced. They like you, Taylor.

Separated spouses Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez are to perform at the 2011 American Music Awards this weekend. But don’t expect them to take the stage together — unless there’s a dramatic surprise in the works.

The 2012 People’s Choice Awards have released a lengthy list of contenders for next year’s ceremony, with Katy Perry and Lady Gaga predictably leading the way. Each award features 12 possible contenders, and it’s up to fans to narrow down the choices to the final five nominees in each category.

As expected, 'Mad Men' and 'Modern Family' were among the top series nominated for the 2011 Primetime Emmys, announced early Thursday morning. 'Mad Men' picked up an impressive 19 nominations, the most of any drama series, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Leading Actor (Jon Hamm), Outstanding Leading Actress (Elisabeth Moss) and Outstanding Supporting Actress (Christina Hendricks).

They might not be as prestigious as the Grammys or the Oscars, but the Teen Choice Awards are a lot more fun — and they’ve just announced their nominees for this year’s ceremony. Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift lead the pack, with five and six nominations, respectively. Other stars boasting multiple nods — drawn across the pop culture spectrum, including movies, music, television, fashion, and sport

The 2011 Grammys may have been Gaga's show, but people actually won some awards, too. Biggest shocker (maybe?) was unknown songstress Esperanza Spalding making enemies with a nation of Justin Bieber fans by taking Best New Artist.
