It's a perfect ending to a perfect season for Longview Lobo football!

Shreveport/Bossier City is gearing up for the return of the Miss USA/Miss Teen USA pageants and today you can get a look at the contestants as the roll through downtown!

Former American Idol star Garrett Jacobs will be the Grand Marshall of the parade.

All the Mardi Gras partying will end tomorrow, Fat Tuesday, at midnight, but until then, several more parades will take place in the New Orleans area.

After all the parades are over, you can still see remnants of the revelry along the routes.  Strands of beads, a few doubloons, maybe an odd moon pie.  But long after this year's festivities have ended, the effects of Mardi Gras will be felt all year long...

The good times roll this weekend and on Fat Tuesday with three final parades. Saturday, February 25th, is the Krewe of Gemini Parade.  It starts at 4:00pm on Clyde Fant Parkway in downtown Shreveport and will proceed down the Clyde Fant Parkway parade route...

Watch out for falling prices, and beads.
