You might not know it, but you have chemicals in your house that could be very hazardous to the environment if you just throw them away. That's why Shreveport Green is hosting Hazardous Household Waste Disposal events throughout the year to help safely dispose of these products.

Shreveport Green teamed up with several local groups for the Great American Cleanup.

Shreveport Green has some serious green to kick start their "Clean and Beautiful Neighborhoods" project. And you can help!

Because of all the rain that fell ahead of Shreveport Green's outdoor gala "Feast," originally set for May 29, it had to be rescheduled. The new date is Thursday, June 12, and it's expected to be just as great as originally planned.

Bring a team -- or just bring yourself. You can help make a difference in the look of downtown Shreveport this weekend. The Texas Avenue Community Asociation, along with the Aseana Foundation, SRAC, SPAR and the Downtown Delelopment Authority are teaming up to host the "Great American Clean-Up Day," this year focusing on downtown's Shreveport Common.
