This past Sunday, January 31, 2016 the Krewe of Barkus and Meoux held their 18th annual pet parade at the former Reeves Marine and pet lovers from all over came out to celebrate!

The Krewe's mission is to develop, foster and promote programs to benefit abused, neglected and homeless animals as well as promote responsible pet ownership with public education about a voluntary spay/neuter program. And if I were a betting woman, I'd say Barkus and Meoux raised quite a bit of money Sunday to further their goals!

As a mother of three dogs, two cats and three horses, pets are close to my heart and I was honored to host the event!
