Actors, athletes, musicians and even neuroscientists converged at New York City's Lincoln Center Tuesday night (April 24) to celebrate Time's 2018 collection of the magazine's 100 Most Influential People, and the red carpet proved to be a star-studded affair.

Celebrities like Shawn Mendes, Millie Bobby Brown, Kesha, Jennifer Lopez and Olympic darling Adam Rippon shined at the annual gala. While Mendes and Lopez delivered killer sets at the event, Rippon and This Is Us actor Sterling K. Brown offered heartfelt speeches.

The 2018 composite of Time's Most Influential People (you can see the full list here) includes testimonials of each entry written by admirers. Cyndi Lauper, for example, thanked Kesha for pushing forward the conversation about women's rights and bringing to light the enduring epidemic of sexual misconduct in the workplace.

"Women make up roughly half of the U.S. workforce, yet somehow we are still fighting for equality, including in the music industry. Thanks to Kesha and other women who have stood up for themselves to demand justice and fairness, we are starting to turn a new page. It took far too long for us to come to this cultural moment, and we’ve got a really long way to go, but thanks to people like Kesha, we’re finally starting to make progress," Lauper wrote.
