Tomkat is No More: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are Divorcing

Once a fairy tale marriage, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have announced that they are filing divorce five years as a Hollywood power couple.

According to People Magazine Katie Holmes' attorney stated, "This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family. Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."

The divorce proceedings were started by Holmes and not Cruise. Cruise's attorney said to People, "Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children."

They married back in 2006 under much fanfare and have a six-year-old daughter, Suri.
