Today is the day we say thanks to those in the military that have served our nation, fought in its wars to help protect our freedoms and our way of life. To all of those that have served, I say 'THANK YOU'. If it were not for you standing up, being sworn in and fighting for us all, our life could be a lot different.

Today is not about saving money on a mattress, its not about zero percent interest on a new car, its not about forty percent off your favorite clothes at the store, its about the men and women who serve our nation. Its about those that are on the front lines defending what we stand for and believe in.

Although we officially recognize Veterans Day officially one day a year, we should honor our veterans every day and anytime we see a man or woman in uniform, we should walk up them and thank them for their service. I work with many veterans here at the station, I know many through my acquaintances and there are many in my family too including my nephew (through marriage) that just went back to Camp Pendleton in San Diego this morning after graduating from Marine boot camp a couple of weeks ago.

I'll say it again, to all the veterans that have served the United States Of America, THANK YOU!

Seeing the flags flying in front of my daughters school this morning made me very proud to be an American (as I am very proud each and every day too!)
