As long as we are bashing the NFL and the Super Bowl, here's a chance to look at some wildly expensive commercials during past games that backfired with the public According to Fanduel.com, the price of a :30 spot during this year's game, along with the digital advertising is between $5.1 million and $5.3 million this year. Wow. That seems a little excessive.

Yardbarker put together a list of some impressive duds for us, and some of my favorites are below, but be sure to check out the whole list.

And let us know in the comments if you are going to be watching the game this weekend, even if it is just for the commercials.

2000 - 'Lifeminders.com' - reportedly one of Howard Stern's favorites

2007 - 'GM Robot' - an ad about robots, depression, and suicide during the biggest sporting event of the year - really?

1997 - Holiday Inn - 'Bob Johnson Transsexual' - this would never fly today, for sure.

1998 -Miller Lite - 'Evil Beaver' - The heavy metal theme song pretty much says it all, folks.

2013 - GoDaddy.com - 'Smart Meets Sexy' - this had people literally wanting to throw up during halftime.
