Would You Buy ‘Chicken & Waffles’ Flavored Chips? Lay’s Thinks You will

This week Frito-Lay is stocking stores across the USA with three new Lay’s potato chip flavors created by consumers, and later this spring, one of these crunchy creations will be available as part of the vast Lay lineup!

The three contenders: Cheesy Garlic Bread, Chicken & Waffles, and Sriracha (a hot sauce used in many Thai recipes).

The trio was selected from 3.8 million entries submitted via Frito-Lay’s "Do Us A Flavor" contest. Launched via Facebook, the contest invited consumers to submit their ideas for inventive new Lay’s flavors.

With the three finalists now on the way to market, the ultimate winner will be chosen by consumers, who until May 4 can vote each day for their favorite on the Lay's Facebook page; through Twitter and via text. Lay's won't name an exact amount, but according to the company's press people, all three 'creators' have been amply rewarded for their efforts...and we assume this means more than free chips for life.
