Apple is urging its customers to update their operating systems to fix security flaws that may have been exploited by hackers.

Users of iPhones, iPads and iPods are being encouraged to update their operating systems to the new iOS 14.4 software. That update was sent out to users on Tuesday.

Apple has not shared many specific details regarding the exact flaws, but on its website, the company acknowledges hackers may have "actively exploited" three security bugs.

The issue is a link in an exploit chain, which means a hacker would have to exploit further bugs for it to be fully executable.

This leaves many to wonder if the Facebook hack that happened this past weekend had something to do with this. If you recall, many iOS-based product users reported they were automatically logged out of Facebook without ever actually doing as such themselves.

The new operating software also includes fixes for keyboard lag and allows smaller QR codes to read by the device's camera.
