Blood Drive Scheduled For Haughton Woman Battling Cancer
Angela Grooms is a fighter. She's already fought cancer once and beat it. And now it's reared it's ugly head again.
Angela is the wife of a Bossier Sheriff's Deputy and mother of 2 and after her battle with breast cancer, has since had the cancer reappear in her spine. The nature of this illness requires her to need numerous blood transfusions and she's had over 20 pints of blood thus far and is assured she'll need more in the very near future.
With the need for blood in mind, the Haughton community has organized a blood drive with LifeShare Blood Center in her honor on Saturday, August 13 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at First Baptist Haughton in the Family Life Center at 105 E. Washington in Haughton.
If you are physically able to give blood, please do it for Angela. Read more about the requirements to give blood at LifeShare.org
