LifeShare Blood Center is holding a blood drive this Saturday, February 13, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in memory of Deputy Scott Pine, an Airline High School graduate from 1997.

The blood drive will be conducted at Brookdale Senior Living in Shreveport, 7110 University Drive in Shreveport and will continue Deputy Pine's legacy of giving and saving lives.

Deputy Pine received an undergraduate degree from Louisiana Tech and was a law enforcement officer with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in Florida when he was killed in the line of duty on Feb. 11, 2014.

“We hope his life will inspire others to donate blood so that he can continue to serve and save lives even after his sacrifice in the line of duty,” says Kris May, Donor Recruiter, LifeShare Blood Centers.

Blood donors will enjoy Johnny’s Pizza and a cookie cake from Great American Cookies., two of Pine’s favorite foods, thanks to the generosity of these two businesses for donating these items.
