Work was actually set to begin a few days ago but Mother Nature had different plans. Construction on the Keithville-Springridge Road bridge was actually set to begin last Monday, February 15, but the arrival of the winter storm delayed things.

However, the wait is now over. And now, if you use this area, you'll need to make plans for your detours which could ultimately last approximately sixty days.

Beginning tomorrow, February 24, the Keithville/Springridge Road Bridge (accessible from Old Mansfield Road and Colquitt Road) will be closed to allow the Caddo Parish Department of Public Works to replace the structure.

The Public Works Department will be replacing the bridge and conducting associated road improvements to enhance use of the bridge. These improvements will ensure decades of durability, safety and access for motorists that utilize the bridge as means for travel.

We are advised that Williams Road may be used as an alternate route.

Citizens interested in monitoring the status of the project can watch its completion in real time by viewing the Parish’s ProjectCAM.

ProjectCAM provides continuous, real-time video of the project in process, and can be viewed at the Parish’s website at caddo.org.
