The cleanup on the riverfront continues since the June flooding on the Red River.

Shelly Ragle, Shreveport Parks and Recreation Director tells KEEL News the cleanup of the riverfront moves into high gear this week. She says crews have been piling the sand up into big hills ready for removal. We asked what happens with all that sand now? She tells us the sand will be re-purposed for use at the Cargill Park softball fields. But the city has to get the final ok from DEQ before using the sand at Cargill.
