Debra Messing is not so thrilled about having to chat with a former infamous Fox News pundit.

Messing, who stars in the forthcoming Will & Grace comeback, says she regrets appearing on Megyn Kelly Today after Kelly made a joke that Messing didn't particularly care for.

Messing and the rest of the show's cast appeared on the premiere of Kelly's brand new show Monday (September 25) to plug the return of Will & Grace. After Kelly brought a superfan to meet the cast, she asked him, "Is it true you became a lawyer, and you became gay, because of Will?" The comment drew laughs before Kelly surprised him with tickets to a taping of an episode.

"I don't know about the lawyer thing, but the Will & Grace thing and the gay thing is going to work out," Kelly said, wrapping up the segment. Messing didn't seem amused by the quip.

Messing let her feelings known on Instagram when she posted a photo of some cucumbers, along with the comment "fail" when someone asked why she appeared with Kelly. She added, "honestly I didn't know it was MK until that morning. The itinerary just said Today Show appearance. Regret going on. Dismayed by her comments."

Ironically, Messing retweeted a photo of the cast sitting with Kelly that co-star Sean Hayes initially posted.

A brand new Will & Grace season, the first in 11 years, premieres on NBC on September 28.
