Is this one of those moments where we can say "Hey, at least we weren't first"? Wallethub released a list of the fattest cities in America. Wallethub compared 100 of the most populated U.S. metro areas. You can click here on how they went about getting the accurate information here. We already know and are constantly reminded that Americans are the fattest people in the world. 40% of the U.S. population is obese. How could we not? There are rows and rows of fast food restaurants with little to no "healthy" choices. According to Wallethub "The extra pounds have inflated the costs of obesity-related medical treatment to between $147 billion and $210 billion a year and annual productivity losses due to work absenteeism to around $4.3 billion."

Shreveport lost to McAllen as the fattest city in America. (Wait this isn't a competition we want to win is it?) 4 out of the top 15 Fattest Cities in America are in Lousiana. Could Louisiana be the fattest state in America?
