1. Lake Claiborne State Park
Just because it's a beautiful beach doesn't mean it has to be on the ocean and Lake Claiborne is proof of that! Just a short drive from Shreveport you might be in Northern Louisiana but the sandy beaches will remind you of Florida.
2. North Beach on Lake Charles
The North Beach on Lake Charles is the only freshwater White Sand Beach anywhere from Texas to Florida. Plus it's not far from the casinos so it's a very popular vacation beach during the summer.
