Miss America is dropping swimsuits and evening gowns! Since the beginning, Miss America has always judged the beautiful contestants on physical appearance. According to the organization they're stopping all of that. On Tuesday, spokesperson Gretchen Carlson was on "Good Morning America" and said "We are no longer a pageant, we are a competition." Gretchen Carlson is very familiar with what it takes to win the competition, she is the first ever previously crowned Miss America to be on the Board of Trustees of the Miss America Organization. Carlson is also a proud supporter of the #metoo movement.

So what happens now? Miss America contestants will have the opportunity to show of their smart side. Instead of putting on swimsuits the contestants will wear comfortable clothes and will interact with the Miss America judges.

This is promising for many young women who have always had the desire to be Miss America but don't have a flawless body. What are your thoughts? Is this a good move for the Miss America organization?
