Its Mardi Gras season in the Shreveport and Bossier area, and things are getting exciting. Mardi Gras fans are enjoying King Cake, getting their attire ready for Bals, and making their plans for parade day. But one of the things that people might not be planning for yet, that maybe should be getting more attention, are the Float Loading Parties.

The Krewe of Centaur Float Loading Party, held at the Krewe Den on Aero Drive (its essentially on North Market Street) in Shreveport is coming up on Friday, February 21st. Float Loading is a family friendly event, open to the public, and all included in one spot. The Krewe hosts the event, where you can get up close and personal with the floats and Krewe members. You can take pictures with the floats, and maybe even walk away with some specialty throws.

You can expect food trucks, flashing lights, and a fun atmosphere all night. But if you're wanting a little bit more, the Krewe has you covered.

The Krewe of Centaur offers a "Float Loading Lagniappe" ticket for this year's event. Even though Float Loading is free, if you buy this "Lagniappe" ticket, you get the full VIP treatment. That includes early access, a guided tour of the Centaur Den, a trip onto floats, Royalty beads, and theme beads.

Float Loading is always a blast, and you never know who you will see out there. You might run into royalty, celebrities, and you might even see this year's Grand Marshal at the event.

Make plans to come out the Friday before the parade and enjoy one of the premiere Mardi Gras events in North Louisiana.
