Death Valley was packed this past weekend and if you were in Tiger Stadium on Saturday night, you most likely experienced the storm that dumped tons of heavy rains, high winds and frequent lightening that hovered over Baton Rouge most of the night.

It was the opening game for the LSU Tigers and Mother Nature had alternate plans. Because of the light show in the sky, officials decided to postpone the game after just ten plays for the safety of the players and fans.

According to Louisiana Radio Network, the university plans to offer fans a refund for the game that was cancelled because of the storm.  Brian Broussard, who is head of the LSU athletic ticket office, says that if you purchased the tickets through LSU with a credit card or if you’re a season ticket holder, you will automatically be issued a refund on your credit card account by September 30th.

"Basically, we're going to automatically refund all of our ticket holders that we have on record."

If you paid for a ticket for the McNeese State game through the LSU ticket office with cash or check, then you’ll need to show proof of purchase before getting a refund.

"Basically, we're going to need a receipt or the tickets that they had purchased with that transaction."
