When it comes to disciplining kids these days, things are a little different than they were twenty years ago. Spanking is often frowned upon, especially in public. But why? Isn't it your right as a parent to determine the course of discipline for your child? But what if the discipline was coming from a stranger?

After playing basketball, this Wisconsin man caught this 14-year-old boy trying to steal his pants, containing his wallet, keys, credit cards and cash. The boy immediately freaked out, begging the man not to tell his mother in fear of being sent away to a boys home. So, instead of immediately calling the police, he gave the boy an option...1) Call the police or 2) Get a "whooping" with a belt.

The boy chose the whooping.

I have to admit that the video is a bit hard to watch and is causing controversy on whether or not the man should have whipped the boy. Although, the boy does vow to never steal again and the stranger promises to "look in on him" from time to time to keep him on the straight and narrow.

So, what do you think? Was the stranger right or wrong in whipping the boy?
