A man who was on the run for several days was caught outside of Minden Thursday afternoon following a high speed chase and manhunt. The suspect, who was driving a stolen pickup pulling equipment on a trailer, led police through multiple parishes at speeds of over 90 miles an hour.
Police were able to use stop sticks to disable the vehicle on Highway 79 between Minden and Homer. However, the man was able to evade police and escape to the woods. Officers than organized a manhunt to track the suspect down.
