New Orleans Saints star wide-receiver, Michael Thomas, received an injury at the end of the Saints vs. Bucs game on Sunday. What initially looked like a minor ankle-roll, may be more serious as he is now expected to miss several weeks.

The news was put out on Twitter by @BleacherReport and you can see it below

This is tough news for the Saints as they come off of their season opening win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. There is no word on how much time Thomas will miss, but this is a massive blow to the Drew Brees driven offense.

Guys like Jared Cook, Deontae Harris, and Emmanuel Sanders will have to pick up the slack while Thomas is out. Alvin Kamara and Taysom Hill will also continue to be assets in the passing game that Brees can rely on.

The Saints travel to Las Vegas this week to face the Raiders.
