National Day of Giving – You Still Have Time to Support GREAT

Today is the National Day of Giving or #GivingTuesday and I'd like to ask you to consider supporting GREAT - Great Results Equine Assisted Therapies, a program of the Arc of Caddo-Bossier.

In the past year that I've worked at GREAT as a volunteer and have been training to become a certified therapeutic riding instructor, I've watched the healing power of horses first hand. Of course, I've experienced healing personally through my own horses my entire life. But there is nothing like witnessing an individual with a traumatic brain injury, Down Syndrome, autism, etc... get stronger, both emotionally and physically as a result of the program at GREAT... and best of all, at least in my humble opinion, I've seen the pure joy it can bring!

GREAT's mission statement is to, 'Build unlimited opportunities for people with disabilities through therapeutic horsemanship.'  The Arc of Caddo-Bossier has multiple programs, but as you can tell, GREAT is the one closest to my heart.
