Mardi Gras Parades
All the world loves a parade and there are two this weekend where you can catch your weight in beads and fine china, otherwise known as throw cups to fill your cupboards! Start your day in Springhill for the Springhill Main Street Parade starting at 1pm, then head to Minden for the Minden Main Street Parade at the Minden Fairgrounds at 4:30pm!

Mardi Gras Bals
There are five, count them, FIVE, Mardi Gras bals this weekend where you can dress up and kick up your heels! Start the revelry Friday with the Krewe of Justinian Grand Bal at the Horseshoe Casino Riverdome and the Krewe of Nemesis Grand Bal in Dixie Inn. On Saturday, the Krewe of Gemini will show off their royalty at the Shreveport Convention Center starting at 6:30pm, right after the Krewe of Atlas struts their stuff up stairs at the Shreveport Convention Center at 4pm. You can't forget about the Krewe of Dionysus! They're taking over the Natchitoches Event Center Saturday evening to 'Let the Good Times Roll!'

Cowboy Mouth
New Orleans' own Cowboy Mouth will take over Margaritaville Resort Casino's Paradise Theater Friday night at 8pm. Tickets are just $15 and are still available, so grab your red plastic spoons and get ready to dance! 21+

2018 Home Products Show
The annual Home Products Show, boasting more than 150 booths, is returning to the CenturyLink Center this weekend: Friday, January 26 5-8pm; Saturday, January 27 10am-6pm; and Sunday, January 28 12-4pm. Admission is $5, $3 military, children 10 and under are free.

Run Like an Animal 5K
Put your running shoes on Saturday morning from 7:30-10:30am for the 'Run Like an Animal' 5K benefiting the the Pet Education Project and the University Veterinary Hospital Foundation. The race starts at the Stoner Boat launch along the Red River and organizers promise you'll have a 'doggone' good time!
