Erin Brockovich posted a very alarming picture yesterday showing a Chlorine level test strip someone emailed her of their water in Bossier, and it's extremely high. The water tested at 10 PPM - much higher than the EPA suggested maximum of 4 PPM for tap water.

According to SafeWater.com, in 1974, Congress passed the Safe Drinking Water Act. This law requires the EPA to "determine the level of residual disinfectants in drinking water at which no adverse health effects are likely to occur." Basically by EPA Standards the Chlorine level in Bossier's drinking water is 6 PPM higher than it should be according to the test shown below.

I have noticed my skin is dryer than usual this week and people on social media have been reporting rashes and even headaches after drinking or bathing in Bossier water. Personally I've already stopped drinking and cooking with my water in Bossier replacing it with bottled water but it's hard to replace for bathing purposes.

Currently there's a flush by the city which will last around 60 days hopefully eliminating the problem. This week I've noticed a very different smell and taste to the water at my apartment in Bossier probably due to the flush. The story has now gone national bringing the attention of media outlets and activists from all over.

Erin Brockovich was made famous in the 90's when she went after Pacific Gas and Electric Company of California the story later was made into a popular movie. She's now a clean water activist going after issues like Flint Michigan.
