“Pup Rally” in Downtown Shreveport [PHOTOS]

Residents took to the streets with their dogs to try to drum up support for a Dog Park in Shreveport. They converged on Government Plaza for a "Pup Rally".

The Shreveport City Council meets today and the Dog Park issue is expected to be a hot topic. Mayor Glover says he does not want to take $280,000 dollars from the Red River Waterway Commission for a Dog Park. He says the city has other needs on the riverfront. The Mayor tweets: "Kudos to the Shreveport Dog Park supporters for braving the rain but I'm still putting Shreveport children and families first".
