Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is set to return August 19th-21st at the Shreveport Convention Center. The 2022 Geek'd Con will be the 7th show in Downtown Shreveport since 2015.

The guests for 2022 already include Matthew LillardSkeet Ulrich, Jamie Kennedysci-fi megastar Natasha Henstridge, along with legendary actor Clint Howard,  horror icon John Kassir, Twin Peaks star Sherilyn Fenn, and AEW stars Darby Allin, and Danhausen.

There will also be a ton of comic book creators added to the lineup for 2022. Including the creator of X-Men member Rogue Michael Golden, Marvel's Zombie King Arthur Suydam, and Geek'd Con fan favorite Roland Paris, among others.

Now, to go along with the creator of the Marvel Comics' character Rogue, is the voice that brought the character to life in the 1990s, Lenore Zann, is coming to Shreveport as well.

Zann voiced Rogue in the 1990s classic X-Men the Animated Series. Which is a role she will also be reprising in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when X-Men '97 hits Disney+ in the coming months.

X-Men the Animated Series is one of the most iconic cartoons of all time (especially the theme), and Rogue was one of it's breakout characters. It's safe to say without the cartoon, and Zann's voice work, Rogue would have never achieved the success the character has. In fact, when IGN ranked their Top Animated Character's Of The 90's, Zann's performance as Rogue made the Top 50.

In fact, IGN ranked her ahead of legends like Stewie Griffin, Lisa Simpson, Squidward Tentacles, Chuckie Finster, Johnny Bravo, and Kenny from South Park. That's how important Rogue was in the 1990s, all because of Zann and X-Men the Animated Series.

In addition to voicing Rogue, Lenore has had big roles voicing Star Catcher in My Little Pony, Roll.EXE in MegaMan: NT Warrior, Tigra in Avengers: United They Stand, Wendy Waters in Rescue Heroes, Kitt in Dragon Booster, Chikara in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and many other shows/films.

You can get your tickets to see the voice, and creator, of Rogue, at Geek'd Con right here.

50+ Pictures of Shreveport's Abandoned Historic Fairgrounds Field

Before you know it, Shreveport's historic Fairgrounds Field will be will be exactly that - history. Once the legal wrangling is done, the proverbial endangered-bat-guano will hit the fan and the once glorious Ratchet-City cathedral to baseball will be demolished and gone.

Before it "bats" its final inning, let's take a final look at the glory that once was. I warn you though, it's kind of like seeing that super-hot girl from high school 20 years later - and time has not been kind.
