Many of us have not missed a Shark Week in several years. Discovery Channel’s Shark Week television special reels in millions of viewers with good reason. Have you ever seen a huge great white shark jump out of the water trying to score a seal for dinner? The sight is absolutely magnificent and truly a once in a lifetime moment, the miracle is that it was captured on film. How could we not be amazed right?

The Shreveport Aquarium is also getting set up for a Shark Week of their own that will coincide with to host its annual week-long Shark Week event that will coincide with the Discovery Channel's epic week of sharks.  Starting Sunday, August 9th through Sunday, August 16th you can get your Shark Week thrills in the SBC.

The Shreveport Aquarium will be setting up shark-themed activities which include shark dives, and even shark pup feedings. No, you can't cuddle these pups, but it sure is fun to watch. You and your family can find out in person what a sharks role is in the ocean’s ecosystem.

It's also Zenon the Zebra Shark's 3rd birthday. You can watch her enjoy her birthday present, she'll be digging up clams that are hidden by a diver. Talk about the most epic Easter egg hunt ever. If you bring a birthday card for Zenon you will score a free mini ice cream cone.
