If you have ever taken a trip to the Oakland Cemetery you might have noticed a large hill. That hill is man made, literally. This area has been nicknamed the "cotton patch" because according to the Oakland Cemetery website, "About eight-hundred victims of the great yellow fever epidemic of 1873 are buried at Oakland" in a mass grave on the Milam Street side of the cemetery.

There is no way that that hill is not haunted! Plus, the rumor is that there are way more bodies in the mass grave than just 800.

According to Haunted Nation, the cemetery was founded back in 1836 with the oldest marked grave dated back to 1842. I am sure there are many restless spirits that roam the cemetery with it being as old as it is.
