The Shreveport Mudbugs are playing hockey in front of home fans this season. Here's their 2020-2021 schedule!

Today is an exciting day! When the pandemic hit and shut everything down back in March, many of us did not know what to expect. I would even be willing to say that a small minority of us predicted this type of shut-down to extend all the way through September, yet here we are.

When summertime rolled around, we were in virtually complete lockdown mode here in Louisiana, so naturally, the future of Mudbugs hockey seemed up in the air. Shortly after, the NAHL announced a shift in their schedule, allowing teams to wait several months before beginning play. The league generally begins in mid-August with regular season games starting in September. The league announced a push-back to give teams more time to make important decisions, by beginning their season in October.

Still, at that time, we weren't sure if we'd get Mudbugs hockey at all this year, considering who Louisiana's governor is and his willingness to keep our state locked down.

Flash forward to late-September, and we officially have our home game schedule for the 'Bugs! This season, we will get the chance to watch our Mudbugs play at home 26 times, not including potential playoff games. The first home game of this upcoming regular season is scheduled for December 4th, giving the team and Louisiana a =couple of extra months to loosen restrictions.

You can find their entire schedule below!
