Shreveport Ozone Action Day Declared

The high heat, humidity, and lack of wind have prompted state officials to declare today an Ozone Action Day here in Shreveport.

Some ways we can all help to lower the negative effects include:

• Try to limit engine idling (Like avoiding the drive through)
• Wait until after 6pm to fill up your car
• Also, wait until after 6pm to mow the grass
• We can also use public transportation or car pool
