According to Shreveport Police, Joshua Champ Jefferson was detained early this morning and charged with armed robbery.  Authorities were able to name him as a suspect after DNA evidence linked Jefferson to an armed robbery at the Red Handed Tattoo Parlor on Kings Highway in Shreveport.

According to Micah Harold, the owner of Ted Handed Tattoo, Jefferson held everybody at gunpoint during the robbery.  Reportedly, he then escaped through a nearby window by breaking through it with his head - injuring himself in the process.

KTBS talked to police about the alleged crime, who said that they witnessed the suspect escaping by bicycle on surveillance video.  Knowing that the person responsible for this crime was bleeding from the head, authorities started checking emergency rooms in the area, to no avail.  They eventually caught up with Mr. Jefferson at his home, where he was apprehended.

He was taken to Ochsner-LSU Health Shreveport Medical Center for treatment before being transferred to Caddo Parish Jail.  Joshua Champ Jefferson is charged with armed robbery, and is being held on a $75,000 bond in the Caddo Correctional Center.
