Things are about to get real for residents of East Bossier and the Haughton area.

While it won't make the traffic congestion any easier to tolerate, we can't say that the Louisiana DOTD didn't warn us this was coming.

Crews will be building a diversion cross-over to accommodate traffic during overpass repairs so the DOTD has deemed it necessary to fully close the exit ramp

According to the DOTD, all westbound I-20 traffic will be detoured to LA 157 to US 80. Detour signage will be in place as necessary.

This weekend, travel in the Bossier area will be "iffy" at best.

A wreck involving two semi-trucks early this morning forced law enforcement to close down I-20 eastbound in Shreveport.

Those who travel daily in Shreveport and Bossier City on I-20 can agree on one thing. That roadway is certainly never boring

Driving I-20, especially in the Bossier City area, is much akin to strapping yourself onto a two thousand pound bull while someone opens the chute.
