Teenager Wakes Up During Brain Surgery + Talks to Doctors

In a very rare incident, a patient woke up during brain surgery and unknowingly carried on a conversation with the operating room doctors and staff about her cats and about missing Christmas.

19-year-old Iga Jasica of Poland was in surgery at the Central Clinic Hospital in Katowice, Poland, and woke up in the middle of her brain surgery after the anesthetic wore off.

Doctors had her brain exposed, but she somehow didn't feel any pain. She wasn't even crying or panicking for waking up! The story in the above video goes on to say she didn't feel a thing, but was able to speak for some reason.

It is very rare for patients to wake up during surgery, but it does happen, especially while their brains are exposed.
