Shirley Bassey, the woman who sang one of the earliest James Bond themes, "Goldfinger", will be performing her claim to fame at the Oscars. This is going to be one heck of a night for the 007 franchise, as Bassey will join Adele, who will sing her James Bond theme, “Skyfall,”. While Adele and Bassey are sharing the stage, we will see all 6 James Bonds enter the stage. (How is still up for debate).

The only things missing are the other Bond crooners, Paul McCartney, Carly Simon, Rita Coolidge and Duran Duran. But something tells me, there are more surprises on the horizon for this franchise.

For those who are Adele fanatics, "Skyfall" is only the fourth Bond song ever nominated for an Oscar and possibly the first to win the prize .

“We are thrilled to welcome the legendary Dame Shirley Bassey to our Oscar show,” Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said in a statement. “Her association with film music is world renowned and we are proud that she will be making her first Oscar appearance on our telecast.”

If you need a refresher on the two songs and how similar in sound they are, here is Shirley Bassey with "Goldfinger"

And Adele with "Skyfall"
