Donald Duck was created by Walt Disney in 1934 and appeared in his first cartoon, "The Wise Little Hen" on June 9 1939, making the special day fall on June 9.. He is famous for his squeaky way of speaking. His voice was created and performed by voice actor Clarence Nash, and by Tony Anselmo after Nash's death in 1985.

Donald Duck has been in more movies (178) than any other Disney character, even more than Mickey Mouse (137). He is one of the most published comic book charcacters in the whole world ranking at #5 behind Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, and Wolverine.

He has also made video game appearances, such as QuackShot, Goin' Quackers, and Kingdom Hearts. Some of his most famous sayings are, "What's the big idea!?", "Aw, phooey!", and "Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy."

He has three nephews named Huey, Dewey, and Louie and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
