A Dallas firefighter has been slightly hurt in a conveyor-belt related blaze at a sprawling U.S. Postal Service distribution center along Interstate 30.

Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman Jason Evans says the more than 115 workers safely evacuated and the fire was put out early Saturday.

Investigators believe the accidental blaze broke out late Friday night, at the 750,000-square-foot building, when an item caught fire while on a conveyor belt. Evans says the burning object continued traveling through the facility and pieces fell off, starting several other small fires.

The firefighter slipped and fell, resulting in a minor injury.
