Do You Spell the Desoto Parish Town Keatchie or Keachi? We Are Fighting Over It

Keachi Town Hall
wikepedia

A big feud is brewing in the KVKI studio. We are fighting over the spelling of a Desoto Parish town. Some spell it like this: Keachi, but others spell it like this: Keatchie.

We are trying to get the official word about the spelling. I found this picture of the Town Hall spelled without the “t” and “e”, but most of the signs and listings have it spelled Keatchie. Robert thinks that’s right. But how can you argue with the Town Hall? Who knows how it’s spelled? Does it have alternate spellings? We want to get to the bottom of this. Keachi or Keatchie is in DeSoto Parish and has a population of 323, but apparently they have a little bit of a problem spelling.
