Six years ago today, some major changes were made to KVKI, including an all-new on air line up! I'm not trying to toot my own horn here, but I think we've had a pretty good run together and I hope it continues for many years to come!

I know the new line up was a big shock for some longtime KVKI listeners, but research dictated that we should shake things up a bit! At that time, I had been on K945 for the last ten years... and that was after being a part of the original K945, then the Big Dog 94.5 team, back in 1996 and 1997! To put that in perspective, at that point, the station had been in my life for 12 out of 18 years! I think we can all agree that K945 was a major part of my career and leaving my day to day on air show was a big decision.

Boy, am I glad I made that leap! I can't imagine being 45 years old and trying to pronounce artists like Dua Lipa anymore! I love getting the chance to keep you up to date on all the latest happenings around Shreveport/Bossier and playing music that helps you get through your workday. After all, we spend a lot of time together, we should make it fun and family-friendly!

So here's to KVKI and the 30 odd years it's been Shreveport/Bossier's #1 station at work! I hope to continue that legacy and work at KVKI until it's my time to retire and for that, I thank YOU!

(I'd hug you right now, but you know, social distancing! lol)
